20671. 'Unreal Stuff' Fans React As 16-YO Indian Boy Beats World No.1 Carlsen In Online Chess
- Beating Magnus Carlsen is a dream for many chess players but a 16-year-old boy from India, R Praggnanandhaa, has managed to live this dream as he defeated the World No.1 in the online chess tournament, Airthings Masters.
- Praggnanandhaa had a forgettable start to the 16-player online rapid tournament. He lost four matches and played two draws before registering his first win. The win came against the World No.1 and the Indian teenager moved up to joint 12th spot after Day 2 of the tournament.
- With the win, Praggnanandhaa became the third Indian to beat Norway's Carlsen. Only Viswanathan Anand and P. Harikrishna had managed to get the better of Carlsen. After the win, much like any other teenager would say, Praggnanandhaa was looking forward to celebrating the big win by having a nice sleep.
20672. Kerala Tourism Introduces Caravan Park - a House on Wheels Experience That's so Unique You'll Instantly Want to Plan Your Staycation
- Kerala's first caravan park is planned to open in Idukki, a picturesque hill region in the state's Idukki district. The park will open to visitors on February 25 as part of the state government's new Caravan Tourism policy, according to state Tourism Minister PA Mohammad Riyas.
- Tourist caravans are vehicles designed specifically for travel, pleasure, and lodging. The customised, attractive automobiles will be outfitted with all of the necessary amenities for a pleasant travel and stay.
- So far 154 applications have been received for 303 caravans from the private sector. As many as 67 people have already come forward for the first 100 Caravan parks

20675. Isro gears up for second launch of 2022, Oceansat-3 to likely liftoff by end of March
- Weeks after successfully launching Earth Observation Satellite-04, the Indian Space & Research Organisation (Isro) has set eyes on the second launch of the year. The Indian Space Agency will blast off the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicles (PSLV) with Oceansat-3 and INS-2B from Sriharikota to mark the second launch of the year.
- the launch could likely be conducted by the end of March or the first week of April and could have five rideshare satellites. The satellites will be launched onboard PSLV-C53, which will deploy them in orbit around Earth. The payload is being readied in Ahmedabad and will take at least two weeks before assembling begins.
- After the launch of Oceansat-3, Isro will liftoff SSLV-D1 Micro SAT in April 2022. Isro will also launch GSAT-21, the first fully funded satellite by the New Space India Limited (NSIL). 20676. Pact inked over biotech park at Arunachal Pradesh
- A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed recently between Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Science and Technology (APSC S&T) and Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL), New Delhi for consultancy services towards establishment of a Biotechnology Park at Kimin under the National Biotechnology Park Scheme of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
- BCIL is a company promoted by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and the All-India Financial Institutions for facilitating commercialization of biotechnology by promoting value-added business support services.
- Keeping in view the potential of the State for attracting investments in biotechnology-related industries and scaling up the activities related to biotechnology in the State, APSC S&T, Department of Science & Technology and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh has approached BCIL, which has vast experience and expertise in this area, for preparing a detailed project report for setting up of a Biotech Park in the State.

20677. JK: Institute launched for research, studies on Kashmiri Shaivism
- the Kashmir Shaiva Institute has been launched on Monday as the first research, study, and publications centre on Kashmir Shaivism in Jammu and Kashmir.
- Kashmir Shaivism, or Trika Shaivism, is a non-dualist tradition of Shaiva-Shakta Tantra which originated sometime after 850 CE. Since this tradition originated in Kashmir it is often called "Kashmiri Shaivism".
- Kashmir Shaiva Institute has been launched here as first research, studies, teaching and publication centre of excellence across the globe on Kashmir Shaivism
20678. New industrial policy to generate 4.5 lakh jobs in J&K
- The hallmark of any developed region is the fine balance between the manufacturing, services and agriculture sectors. The industrial landscape of the UT of J&K is dominated by MSME as it contributes about 8 percent to the GSDP and employs the largest number of people in the services and manufacturing sectors
- Around 25000 MSMEs are operational in the UT employing around 90% of the industrial workforce here. In this backdrop, the Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Policy (JKIP)-2021-30 is a welcome change from the previous industrial policies.
- Combined with the incentives offered under “New Central Scheme for Industrial Development of Jammu and Kashmir” notified by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, in 2021, the industrial ecosystem in J&K is set to witness a paradigm shift.

20680. झारखंड के किसान दंपत्ति ने लॉकडाउन में बना दिया तालाब, अब हर मौसम कर सकेंगे खेती!
- झारखंड के पश्चिमी सिंहभूम जिले में स्थित चिरची गाँव के एक किसान दंपत्ति, जिन्होनें लॉकडाउन के दौरान पथरीली जमीन को खोदकर डोभा (छोटा तालाब) बना लिया।
- एक किसान की सबसे बड़ी ज़रूरत सिंचाई के लिए पानी की होती है और लगातार पानी की कमी से जूझ रहे इस किसान दंपत्ति कृष्णा सिंह कुंटिया एवं उनकी पत्नी संकरी कुंटिया ने देश में चले लॉकडाउन के बीच डोभा बनाने का निर्णय किया और पति-पत्नी ने मिलकर अपने बुलंद हौसले के बूते यह सफलता पाई।
- जहाँ एक ओर दर्जनों मजदूर मिलकर एक डोभा का निर्माण एक माह में करते थे, वहीं यह काम इन दो लोगों ने करीब 45 दिन में पूरा किया। डोभा बनाना इतना भी आसान नहीं था क्योंकि जिस जमीन पर इन्होंने डोभा का निर्माण किया है वह बेहद पथरीली है। खुदाई के दौरान कई बड़े-बड़े ऐसे पत्थर मिले, जिनको काटकर डोभा बनाना मुश्किल ही नहीं बल्कि नामुमकिन सा लगता था। इन पत्थरों को तोड़ते हुए दोनों घायल भी हुए, लेकिन इन दोनों ने हिम्मत नहीं हारी।
